We’ve always loved that the flat is split level so it somehow feels bigger than it probably is. Each of the rooms has its own character and the flat works really well for entertaining. The living room is bright, large and can be easily divided into a working zone and a relaxing zone. The kitchen can accommodate a cook or two and a number of people around the table. The fact that the bedroom is at the back of the property means that it is protected from road noise and has a lush green outlook which is perfect.

The transport links are stupidly good and since we’ve owned the flat all kinds of new restaurants and cafes have popped up on Green Lanes. It’s lovely being just a few minutes’ walk from Blend, Beans & Barley, Jam in a Jar, not to mention the incredibly useful local shops that never shut. If we were twenty years younger and didn’t have three kids in tow these days, we’d be back there like a shot!
