We were lucky to make friends with many neighbours and over the years many friends have now become neighbours. It is one of the best connected places we have ever lived in London, but at the weekends we actually end up staying local. Whether we are picking up fresh fish from Thompson seafood on Holborn market, getting a quick Friday night pizza in True Craft (West Green Rd) or spending a lazy Sunday afternoon in The Palm (Philip Lane), the area has always been a magnet for chefs and good food. Downhills park feels like our back garden and is somewhere we visit multiple times a day with our young daughter. This flat has always had a great energy and it’s been easy to make the space work for us, it feels surprisingly big spread over two floors.
