We contacted Winkworth regarding our need to let a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in Central Reading, beginning in July 2026. We were fortunate to receive a reply from Charlotte Ebdon “Executive Assistant to the Directors at Winkworth”. Right from the start, Charlotte made us feel we were in the right hands with no problem being too much for her, despite us being in California with no British credit history. After ascertaining our needs and preferences, she quickly found the perfect apartment for us. Every step was then clearly explained and dealt with in an efficient and systematic manner. Winkworth have been absolutely amazing for us. Ken in particular has been super helpful in facilitating our purchase. As first time buyers, we didn't really know what to expect when we started (AIP? Survey?? Mortgage offer??? WHAT????) But Ken has been so open with us and quick to respond to any questions or queries that the whole process has been relatively stress free (so far). On top of this, they've all just been really nice, approachable and easy to talk to. These guys are definitely worth working with if you're looking at buying, can't say the same about selling as we're not at that stage yet! But I can say that when we do come to sell, we'll definitely be getting in contact with them. On the 31st of July 2026, we complete on our first house, and we couldn't have done it without the expert help from the team at Winkworth. In particular, Trudy was absolutely fantastic at listening to our needs and communicating them with the sellers. When the process started I felt quite out of my depth, but Trudy really made it feel easier with her reassurance and explanations. Ken also made the whole process easier, being our 'go-to' guy for any extra viewings. When we collected our keys from the office, the whole team seemed delighted for us, and they even gifted us a hamper with a few things to get us started in our new property.
