Meet the team at Winkworth Torbay and Dartmouth

Winkworth are about to welcome Richard Blake and Trevor Branton to the network...

They’re converting their existing two office estate agency business in Devon to the Winkworth brand.

After leaving the Air Force in 1989, Richard joined a firm of estate agents in Shrewsbury and has been in the industry ever since. He set up his own company in Dartmouth in 2009. Trevor comes from a New Zealand farming background and came to the UK back in 1994, entering the UK estate agency industry in 1996.

Having played rugby for much of his youth, Richard represented the Royal Air Force and played for various club sides. He still watches the game from his armchair and stadiums. Richard loves nothing better than taking in the scenery while walking his greyhounds with his wife Karen around the coastal footpaths of the region. Trevor has a keen interest in old Volkswagens. Owning a VW Camper and Beetle he can be found at VW events, clubs and shows. Trevor also has a strong interest in all things technical and is often the ‘fix it guy’ in the office.

When asked about the best thing Dartmouth and Torbay have to offer, Richard said the breath-taking scenery and diverse property stock. Trevor likes the accessibility to get to places without the hustle and bustle of the CITY life.

If you could live anywhere in the world – where would it be and why?

RICHARD:‘In a red Rugby Shirt, in The Principality Stadium, Cardiff! Because I still dream.’

TREVOR:‘Of course, back in New Zealand where I grew up and we occasionally manage to get back there for holidays. With breath-taking scenery, peace and quiet and beautiful blue lakes and rivers.’

When not found in the office, Richard and Trevor are both long standing and active members of the Dartmouth Rotary Club supporting local, national and international causes.

If you’re in the area Richard and Trevor recommend restaurants Rockfish and Shoals in Brixham and Dartmouth who specialise in excellent seafood, and Pierre’s, overlooking Torbay, which has a fantastic setting with a great range of fine cuisine.
