Winkworths have successfully let and managed my 2 bed apartment in London W8 for 14 years. I bought the apartment through them originally. The management of the flat has been excellent over that period. Gas and electric certifications have been carried out, tenant requests dealt with promptly ( but always checking with me first) with good quite reasonably priced contractors;, paying over money on time with clear statements of account, and generally good communication and no.hassle The quality of tenants has always been good, with only one exception, which over 14 years is an enviable record. Again, recentluy, when my long term tenant left recently due to Brexit, I was concerned that in the Covid environment I would have difficulty finding another tenant. Federico Young, the lettings manager, at Winkworth Old Church St W8 advised on the rent level, and kept adjusting it during the marketing phase because of Civid uncertainties and testing the market,, until after three weeks he secured a young professional couple on a two year lease to move in at Christmas. What i appreciated was that immediately my old tenant left, Federico visited the apartment, suggested irefreshing the kitchen cupboards and replacing the blind in the second bedroom, but nothing more, then foowed up post building work to check on things before organising the professional clean. Federico's professionalism and communication with me throughout was faultless. I liked that he called me on the phone to talk things through rather than relying on email, sent photos over whafsapp, got spare keys cut.. He was also responsive out of office hours if I had a question. Federico also had the foresight to take marketing photos with the new kitchen cabinets and bedroom. blind for.use when this tenant leaves, so not a second of void time would be asted next time.aroumd. What I really appreciated about working with Dominic in the recent sale of my property was that it felt like dealing with a real person as opposed to a sales person. He listens, he advises, he's not in any way pushy. And he gets the job done. Would definitely go to Winkworth again for selling or buying.

Despite the market seeming to favour the cheap no frills internet based estate agencies there really is no substitute for the local high street variety, particularly as in my case I had a lot of properties to sell. Yes, of course I could have done it cheaper, but would that include the negotiation to increase an offer from £85K to £105K? Would that also include poking the odd solicitor to get a move on and also the important liaison service to ensure all parties are in step? That's worth paying for.

Sarah Russell was lovely to deal with and she knew what I was looking for by way of a rental. All the paper work was handled swiftly, communication was excellent, and I picked up keys as planned a few weeks ago. There are many lettings agents that have advertised properties on rightmove and then when you turn up to view the property it is nothing like the pics and in complete disarray. This was not the case with Winkworths. As I had also seen another property a few months prior. So more than happy to recommend. Also Sarah has such a friendly and professional manner.
