Winkworths have successfully let and managed my 2 bed apartment in London W8 for 14 years. I bought the apartment through them originally. The management of the flat has been excellent over that period. Gas and electric certifications have been carried out, tenant requests dealt with promptly ( but always checking with me first) with good quite reasonably priced contractors;, paying over money on time with clear statements of account, and generally good communication and no.hassle The quality of tenants has always been good, with only one exception, which over 14 years is an enviable record. Again, recentluy, when my long term tenant left recently due to Brexit, I was concerned that in the Covid environment I would have difficulty finding another tenant. Federico Young, the lettings manager, at Winkworth Old Church St W8 advised on the rent level, and kept adjusting it during the marketing phase because of Civid uncertainties and testing the market,, until after three weeks he secured a young professional couple on a two year lease to move in at Christmas. What i appreciated was that immediately my old tenant left, Federico visited the apartment, suggested irefreshing the kitchen cupboards and replacing the blind in the second bedroom, but nothing more, then foowed up post building work to check on things before organising the professional clean. Federico's professionalism and communication with me throughout was faultless. I liked that he called me on the phone to talk things through rather than relying on email, sent photos over whafsapp, got spare keys cut.. He was also responsive out of office hours if I had a question. Federico also had the foresight to take marketing photos with the new kitchen cabinets and bedroom. blind for.use when this tenant leaves, so not a second of void time would be asted next time.aroumd. Due to my mum having to go into a care home, I needed her home to be sold pretty fast and at a fair price in order to help towards the costs. Within the first week Rosella arranged an afternoon of viewings which resulted in a number of offers, all above the asking price. The new owners were qualified by Rosella and they completed last week without any drama along the way. Having been initially sceptical of Winkworth due to interactions with another branch, I was won round by the responsiveness and professionalism of those working here. They are highly organised and were accommodating during our search as buyers. Particular mention to Jade, without whom I don’t know if our sale would have completed & certainly could have gone on far longer than it did (5 months). I would say the number of reviews on here positively mentioning her goes to show her work ethic & value to the branch. Because of her tenacity & proactivity, she regularly kept chasing the seller’s solicitors, who were sadly the weak link during this purchase; taking months to respond to initial & basic inquiries. With no chain either side and both parties keen to complete as soon as possible, this was a frustrating scenario for us & I imagine to the seller & Winkworth also, but thanks to Jade the fallout was largely mitigated.
