Winkworth opens a new office in Northampton

Last month local businessman and new franchisee Sunny Kooner opened the doors to the latest Winkworth office to join the network in Northampton.

Northampton is the fourth Winkworth office to open in 2018, following Banstead in Surrey, Poringland in Norfolk and Brentford in West London.

The Winkworth Northampton office has opened on Wellingborough Road which is currently undergoing a major development as part of a regeneration project. The £3 million scheme is a mixed use one with new shops joining the office on either side and 18 residential units being built above them.

Speaking to the Northampton Chronicle, Sunny commented “Wellingborough Road has the right type of people, it’s less expensive than town and has good parking. The development will bring more people into the area, it’s created local jobs and will bring residents in to spend money which will help the other businesses around here – it will have a knock-on effect.”

Sunny started his career in banking in London before leaving to concentrate on opening his own multiple businesses. Joining him now in the Winkworth office are Ian Simons as Branch Manager and Claire Millward as Lettings Manager who between them have a combined experience of over 45 years in property.

On joining the network Ian says, “Winkworth has an exceptional reputation for providing a trustworthy and reliable service to home movers and this is exactly what we will be doing at Winkworth Northampton. Our aim is to provide the people of Northampton and surrounding areas with the best and most professional service when dealing with what is undoubtedly the biggest purchase of your life. The team and I are very much looking forward to meeting and working with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants in the area, and strongly encourage anyone wanting more information on the local market to pop in and have a chat with us.”

New Franchising Manager “I am delighted to welcome the team in Northampton to our expanding Winkworth family,” comments James Campbell –. “Northampton is a great addition to the network in terms of our London to Country link as the Virgin trains carry commuters back and forth in under 60 minutes. Northampton is also an exciting place at the moment as it has become a volume market in terms of affordability. The average property price in the area is £217,000 - up 6% from 2017 and 19% up on the 2014 level of £183,000.”
