Winkworth launches new office in Surbiton

The new office, located in the south-west London suburb of Surbiton, comes in quick succession of a number of other office openings in the latter part of this year, and reaffirms Winkworth's strong focus on expanding its franchised network.

This press release was originally posted in October 2017.

Winkworth Franchising Ltd is pleased to announce another office opening in London.

The Surbiton office will be fully owned and operated by Claire McGrath and her husband Jonathan. Having moved to the UK from Australia over six months ago, the couple have a rich history of more than 15 years working in property, most recently owning one of the most successful property management franchises in Australia. They are set to capitalise on the growing popularity of the Surbiton market, using their extensive industry experience to help local home movers 'see things differently'.

Claire comments: "We are thrilled to finally take the plunge, join Winkworth and set up our own estate agency business in England. Of course, we already have some experience navigating the UK property market through our own personal ventures in recent years - we have bought, sold, rented, let and developed a number of properties both in Australia and the UK - so we're confident that this will be a fantastic new venture for us. When deciding how best to set up our UK business, we felt that Winkworth's core values and culture were the perfect fit for us. We have the backing and support of a respected, professional and customer-centric brand, whilst being able to use our backgounds and expertise to put our own spin on our customers' journeys."

The new, centrally located office will be headed up by Sales Manager Allison Steele and a team of skilled Sales Associates. Allison brings to the office a wealth of local knowledge, having lived and worked in Surbiton in a sales role for more than 20 years.

Dominic Agace, CEO at Winkworth adds: "We're very pleased by this next addition to our network and absolutely delighted that Claire and Jonathan have decided to move from the opposite side of the world to join Winkworth. Their impressive backgrounds working in property will no doubt be a great asset, both to our company and to local home movers. This is the sixth office to open in 2017, and it fits neatly into our existing London support network to complement the other surrounding offices and their local markets. Following this string of office openings, I'm confident Winkworth will finish the year on a high and look forward to welcoming more franchisees and property professionals to the team as we continue with the growth of our network."

The property market in Surbiton is currently up-and-coming, with a great mix of families, young professionals and commuters realising its value for money and proximity to London and making the move. The area benefits from a wide selection of schools, shopping, leisure facilities, bars and restaurants as well as excellent transport links.

The Winkworth Surbiton office is located at 26 Brighton Road, Surbiton, KT6 5PQ. Contact details are: 020 3861 0010 / surbiton@winkworth.co.uk
