Weightloss and well-being - my journey through Salisbury, an inspiring city

Since being made Manager of the Salisbury office of Winkworth last summer, my walks through this beautiful city have inspired me, not only as a property profesional but as a busy working mother and wife.  Our business is enirely client lead, and going the extra mile is second nature.  However, ensuring happy clients can mean early morning and late evenings - so, throughout the winter it has been only too easy to grab something quick of a mealtime and to jump in the car for local appointments.

My own successes at Winkworth Salisbury and the early onset of spring this year have really put a spring in my own step.  The beautiful sites around Salisbury have inspired me to walk to all of my appointments in and around the city - not only has this been wonderful for my fitness, it has kept my mood springlike, even on the most demanding of days!

I have also been inspired to change the way I eat.  The amazing twice weekly Charter Market provides an array of fresh fruit and vegetables, and I and my wife have changed the way we cook as a result.  Even after a long day, it is still possible to cook something delicious, nutricious and full of what our bodies need, but fresh and calorie counted.  After a filing supper, I enjoy a couple of drinks to unwind.  I have poached eggs or a banana for breakfast, fruit for lunch (enormous Jaffa oranges from the Charter Market!) and I feel great.

These little changes I have hardly noticed but goodness, what a difference!  In three weeks I have lost a stone, I feel full of energy and full of the joys of spring.

Walking has reduced my carbon footprint and improved my health.  It has also inspired me to carry on with this lifestyle.  Thank you Salisbury - you are inspiring!
