Location

Brook Green is situated in west London in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It is bordered by Kensington, Hammersmith, Shepherd’s Bush, Brackenbury Village and Holland Park.


Where to go

Brook Green has two main shopping areas – Shepherd’s Bush Road and Blythe Road – which offer numerous chain and independent restaurants and cafes, bars and boutique shops. Local gastropubs abound in Brook Green, with some local favourites including The Brook Green Hotel, The Queen’s Head, The Havelock Tavern and the Bird in Hand.

You will also find the tennis courts on Brook Green, if you’d like a game of tennis.


What’s on

The popular Brook Green Market & Kitchen, a FARMA certified farmers’ market, set up shop each Saturday in the playground of Addison Primary School. Their traders aim to champion the best of Britain, with a wide selection of seasonal, locally sourced, home grown ingredients as well as more exotic finds from trusted suppliers who import top quality organic produce from abroad. Every Saturday, visitors will find not only a fully stocked market but a true community hub.

For live music and comedy, catch a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo. This Art Deco Grade II* listed iconic London venue opened its doors in 1932 as the Gaumont Palace cinema, or take in a show at the Lyric Theatre on Lyric Square which is  just off King Street. Let’s not forget all the live-events and exhibitions that take place throughout the year at Olympia London.


Transport

In Zone 2, Brook Green boasts a wide variety of transport links.

By Road:

A4, A40, M4 with connections to both Heathrow and central London.

By Underground:

Piccadilly, District, Circle, Hammersmith & City at Hammersmith and Central Line at Shepherds Bush plus others from the surrounding neighbourhoods.

By Train:

Wander slightly further afield and you can take the London Overground services from Kensington Olympia and Shepherds Bush.

Brook Green has a great selection of both state and independents schools, catering for all ages of children.

These include Larmenier & Sacred Heart, rated Ofsted outstanding, Bute House Preparatory School for Girls, Ecole Française de Londres Jacques Prévert, St Pauls Girls, Godolphin & Latymer and Sacred Heart High School.
