Property Love
February and Love Is All Around
February and Love Is All Around
I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes. Apparently it is also written in the wind. It is the time of year when Love is all around us.
Sometimes that squashy and warm feeling can feel a little distant during the buying and selling process. In many ways it is different to other legal matters. In theory, both sides of the process have common cause, that of the timely and smooth transaction allowing for the cordial conveyance in ownership of a property from one person to another. Both sides get what they want from the relationship and both sides walk away happy and satisfied. That is the theory.
As with every other human relationship of the heart, two people come together, are mutually attracted and set off on a voyage of discovery. In this case culminating in a property transaction.
So why does it sometimes go wrong? More than once we have been selling a lovely flat for a lovely client to an equally lovely buyer only to watch helplessly as the relationship deteriorates and drives onto the rocks.
The key, as with any human relationship, is the managing of reasonable expectations, the smooth flow of accurate information, a level playing field, the establishment of rapport between the newly brought together couple and an understanding that both sides have the same aim.
As agents our job starts as a sort of Dating Agency bringing people together. We then officiate over the betrothal as a property goes under offer and as a cross between relationship councillors and mid-wives to help bring the whole thing successfully to its joyous conclusion.
Unlike love, none of this happens by accident. We have years of experience and a sixth sense that helps us spot the signs and act to prevent a small problem becoming a big problem and it pays dividends for our clients. There is nothing we have not seen, and we always know how to resolve our clients’ occasional differences.
So, come on and let is show. If you want to meet someone on who you can depend who will really understand what you want out of a relationship, please pop in or call us on 0207 467 5770.
