Mad as a March hare

The Hatter and the March Hare are always having tea because when he tried to sing for the Queen of Hearts the sentence of "Off with his head!" was pronounced as he was accussed of "murdering the time".  The Hatter, of course escapes the block but in retailation, time halts himself in respect to the Hatter, keeping him and the Hare at tea time in perpetuity.

March is a month when the seemingly endless grey of winter starts to change and the flowers of spring appear.  The sap starts to rise and animals make their own journeys towards the sun with elaborate courtship displays.  Hares do breed well into spring but on a rare warm March day, to see them box and act as made as a biscuit is one of the greatest sites of early spring.

Easter marks a watershed.  Not only is it a wonderful celebration in the Christian calender, it is the begining of the end of winter and a time for the new beginings of spring.

This week is the worderful Smaller Country Houses edition of Country Life, which is the start of the country house calender.  Next week is the wonderful Cheltenham Festival.

The first quarter of 2016 has been electric with buyers beating the stamp duty increase for second homes, and those lovely houses offered early being snapped up.

As the sun turns back towards the north hemisphere, there is much to look forward to and a market full of oppurtunities.
