From independent to Winkworth franchisee

Tom Lepsky and Kim Karpeta joined Winkworth in September 2012, having previously traded as an Independent since 2006 Two offices based in Weybridge and Cobham, run as a partnership of two directors Most significant improvement is the quality of enquiries that we get from people who want to work for the brand in areas that we operate in Turnover from January 2013 to 2014 increased by almost 30% Accessed very influential buyers from abroad through the Winkworth network who have purchased multiple significant projects "As an independent, you work hard to establish your reputation and compete for market share, and very often you may be operating in the area which may not be one's patch. Our turnover from January 2013 to 2014 increased by almost 30% which means that our decision to join Winkworth has been our best to date. A key part of our business before we joined Winkworth was promoting our brand and word-of-mouth recommendation. With the Winkworth name behind us, we find that this part of the job in particular has become much easier and we now have access to some great promotional opportunities as well as being part of a national network of offices which has enabled us to grow our market share from day one. We have two offices based in Weybridge and Cobham, run as a partnership of two Directors. The changes that we have witnessed since joining the group are many; including a superb refurbishment for Weybridge, the opening of our new Cobham office in November, key marketing, PR and IT support, and perhaps most importantly, the ability to meet with like-minded individuals within the group who provide a sounding board for any decisions that we wish to make. For me, as a main recruiter, the most significant improvement is the quality of enquiries that we get from people who want to work for the brand in areas that we operate in. As part of the group we also have access to a network of circa 100 offices which, along with the country house department and China desk, have meant that we can reach buyers and sellers that we simply were not able to before. This has dramatically changed our standing in the market place, as we have been introduced through the Winkworth network to some very influential buyers from abroad who have purchased multiple significant projects."   If you're interested in joining Winkworth and owning your own office, please contact Gina Piper on 020 7355 0200 / gpiper@winkworth.com
