Sitting quietly on the edge of Salisbury Plain, the popular village of East Chisenbury lies to the south of Upavon where there are good local amenities including a shop, a post office, and two public houses. Of particular note is the highly regarded and Michelin starred Red Lion Public House within the village itself. The Plain is perfect for walking and riding and there are several golf courses nearby. Pewsey is six miles to the north offering a wider range of shops and amenities, The historic market towns of Devizes and Marlborough are about twelve miles away, both with a comprehensive range of shops, sports clubs, entertainment and restaurants.
