It was a pleasure to have worked with James Moran, director at Winkworth South-Kensington. The following describes our experience with Winkworth, South Kensington. We were looking for a foremost London agent that could competently and sensitively manage the sale of a property such as the one he sold for us in Princes Gate Mews. With this in mind we, the executors, initially approached four of the leading agents in the Kensington/Knightsbridge area. The competition was exceptional and the merits of each were discussed. We all decided to ask James at Winkworth to manage our property sale, and we're delighted we did. With particular respect to our situation, the sale of our property in Princes Gate was part of a settlement of the estate of a recently deceased relative. We found that Winkworth, and James in particular, showed a particularly sensitive understanding of this situation and the executors' role during the period of Probate. We recognise that counterparties in a sale may need to be advised of the particular circumstances surrounding the settlement of an estate. James managed this period of Probate with calm and skill keeping all parties informed, updated and on target at all times. From the start, James presented a genuine and realistic assessment of what Winkworth could do for us at our initial meeting. He was quick to set up and join our video conferencing which allowed all executors for the estate (including those abroad) to discuss and agree together how we felt about conducting the sale and how we would progress. This was one of the many things that worked well. In our case James found a buyer far sooner than we might have expected which resulted in his buyer having to wait some considerable time for the issuance of Grant of Probate. In this sense James managed his customer very well and, again, whilst not being privy to his communications with them, they were clearly managed to the very highest of professional standards. It also helped that Winkworth has acted as agent for us for a sale previously in London where our experience was similarly as good. We are pleased to trust in the Winkworth ethos of efficiency, good communication and continued high professional standards. All this ensuring a good sale price is achieved.
