Winkworth reports almost 80% uptick in new franchising applicants in 2018

Winkworth Franchising Ltd is pleased to report another year of growth for its network after adding six more offices to its operation in 2018. With new franchise applicants at a record high, the franchised business is optimistic for further growth over the coming year, with a number of quality openings already in the pipeline.

Winkworth’s new offices over the past year have included three cold starts in Banstead, Poringland and Northampton, a conversion in Fowey, a new office opened by an existing franchisee in Brentford and the acquisition of an existing business in Mudeford by an existing franchisee. These new additions to the network highlight perfectly the various routes to owning and becoming part of the Winkworth franchise, for which interest has risen exponentially with a 78.5% uptick in new franchising applicants over the past year.

Dominic Agace, CEO of Winkworth, says:

“We’re delighted with the progress we’ve made over the past year, welcoming some fantastic professionals from elsewhere in the industry as new franchisees and supporting current franchisees with their own plans to expand. Despite a tough year for some businesses, our new franchising applicants reached record levels in 2018, demonstrating the strength of our brand and reputation.

“Going forward, we continue to focus on growing our network with quality new franchisees and in strategic locations. We feel that the key to our success is not rapid growth, but ensuring we have the right people on board in the right locations to drive our business forward steadily. We have yet to see what the year will bring for the industry, but I’m confident that we have the best people to weather any potential storm.”

Winkworth Franchising Ltd is a leading franchise estate agency with around 100 offices in the UK. The company is encouraging anyone interested in having an initial, confidential conversation about joining the franchise to get in touch.
