Why franchising works for me - Winkworth Palmers Green

Nick Charalambous joined the Winkworth Franchise network in 2006 and is the sole franchisee and director of the Palmers Green office in North London.

A local to the area, Nick went to primary school in nearby Enfield, and senior school in Barnet prior to beginning his working career. "Starting in the early nineties, I worked for a corporate in the city as an IT manager whilst dabbling in residential development, as property was always a great passion of mine. I ended up using a Winkworth office to sell one of my projects and I loved the brand and the service so much that when I decided to leave the corporate world a Winkworth franchise was an easy choice."

When asked what were the best things about being part of a franchised network, Nick commented, "Being part of a household name and having the backing of the brand gives you confidence. I'm also grateful that my colleagues and predecessors have laid a path for me for success."

If he could start all over again, Nick admits that there are many things he would have done differently knowing what he knows now. As Nick's background wasn't in agency he really had to learn on the job as he went. "I must say though, the mistakes I have made have taught me invaluable lessons – making me the person I am today. And 2008 - that was a memorable year!"

"To anyone looking to potentially join the Winkworth network as a franchisee, I'd advise always putting your clients first. I'd also say put in the hard work, never give up and you'll succeed," ends Nick.

Nick is joined in Palmers Green by a talented and longstanding team of sales and lettings staff, all also local to the area, and their expertise and hard work really delivers results:

Nick Charalambous - Winkworth Palmers Green

"As a property lawyer, I have worked with a lot of estate agents in the past, however, what makes Winkworth Palmers Green stand out is their professionalism and the extraordinary lengths that they will go to for their clients. I have worked closely with the team at Winkworth for some time now, especially Marcelle and Ben, who I consider to be some of the best agents that I have worked with. They are extremely proactive and resourceful and have a good knowledge of the conveyancing process. They are always available to answer calls and assist where they can, and on many occasions have helped bring a deal to exchange in the most trying of circumstances."
