The Online evolution

It may be interesting to know, especially to the millennials, that the World Wide Web was actually only invented in 1989, with the internet boom happening in the early 1990's.

With the introduction of the internet came online shopping, which revolutionised the way a consumer shops today. This toppled many retail industries, changing the high street as we see it today. Having said that, we did some research into how much it actually made a difference to the major companies that are still trading.

Interesting to see that they didn’t fold but instead, alongside other contributing factors, developed their digital offerings to compete with online only companies.
