Winkworth recently shared a part one on frequently asked questions that the new franchising department gets. Below are some answers to the second set of FAQ's that the team regularly receives.

Can I rebrand my existing business?
Yes. Quite a few offices in the current network 'converted' from an independent estate agency to the Winkworth brand; Newbury, Kingsbury, West Bridgford, Dartmouth and Torbay to name just a few.
This is one of the easiest routes of joining Winkworth as you already have an up and running, fully staffed, income generating business. Once due diligence is undertaken and passed, the marketing team will be on hand to help with all aspects of a full refurbishment to convert your existing office into the Winkworth style.
What if there is a Winkworth nearby or in my area?
Unlike some other franchised estate agencies, at Winkworth each office is granted an exclusive territory to trade in. This does however mean that if a Winkworth office is already operating within the area you want, that it will be unattainable. Winkworth will work with you to recommend nearby available areas that may still be suitable.
Who decides my territory?
"The team and I will work with prospective franchisees to decide a suitable territory together. Once an available area and premises have been located, we do a lot of research into available market share, competition and chimney pots to ensure enough business can be generated," comments James Campbell; New Franchising Executive.
Can I own more than one office?
Absolutely. Many current Winkworth franchisees own two, three or in some cases four offices. It's important to ensure expansion comes at a suitable time for you and that your current office is somewhat self-sufficient. The new franchising and operations teams can advise you on expansion, however although encouraged, expansion is not usually permitted within 18-24 months of opening your first office.
What support will I get from Head Office?
Situated in central London Winkworth Head Office is set up to offer full support to the entire network. From the Marketing and PR departments to IT, training and compliance, franchisees can use the services each team provides as little or as much as they like.
