Depending upon which data you look at, around 72% of all internet users are now active on social media. The breakdown of this shows it is largely cross generational, with 18-29 year olds having an 89% usage, the 30-49 bracket sits at 72%, 60 percent of 50 to 60 year olds are active on social media and above this 43% are using social media. Approximately 71% of users access social media from a mobile device. The figures for all property searches are similar at around 80 percent, with around half these being from phones and tablets. Style and substance have never been more important. In a world where the latest version of a phone can sell in millions at its launch, only to have problems reported, shows we will buy the sizzle but we expect the sausage to taste as good as it looks. Value and price are not the same, with the same true of service. The truly bespoke service received in days gone by, is not a thing of the past - it has never been more important. If we are prepared to pay for best quality service, it is something we place value upon and its price should reflect both the results and the experience delivered. Our ethos is to provide the service we would expect to receive ourselves. Attention to detail and going the extra mile are not marketing slogans but mission statements. Only though providing exceptional service can we combine the best of the old with all that is new. Managing peoples moves is enormously satisfying in itself but it is through professionalism that we make the experience exceptional. Matthew Hallett Winkworth Salisbury
