2 minutes with Winkworth Recruitment

Winkworth has recently launched an in-house recruitment department. The new department serves to enhance our offering to franchisees by providing them with a personal, efficient recruitment service to help drive future expansion.

With a wealth of knowledge in the industry, newly appointed recruitment director, Lucy King now heads up the department, having started her career working in property sales for a large independent agency based in Battersea South West London, and moving into property recruitment five years ago.

“Working front line in estate agency sales gave me a real passion for such a fast paced industry and a real experience of what it takes to be a successful agent. During the last five years I have been recruiting into the market, so sales and lettings agents as well as administration and head office, business support.”

“On a day to day basis I am constantly looking for the very best talent in the industry, whether they be experienced professionals or newbies who are keen to discuss how they can build a long term career.

The thing I like most about working here is that Winkworth are first and foremost about customer service, which is refreshing for the estate agency industry. As a franchised business, each office has their own identity, with a real entrepreneurial spirit, and it’s great to be a part of identifying who could potentially be our franchisees of the future.”

As each individual business grows and with three new offices open already this year, there will always be a need to build the recruitment department.

When asked what she spends her spare time doing, Lucy responded, “I have just started training for my first triathlon!”
