We have loved our time living on the Ladder – there is so much on offer around here. There are excellent cafes and restaurants on Green Lanes (everyone has their favourites) and all are welcoming. The Salisbury on Green Lanes and the Great Northern Railway Tavern make for lovely nights out too. New things seem to be springing up all the time and we have particularly enjoyed exploring the creative places opening up at Wood Green’s Blue House Yard this year.

Hampden Road is set back enough from the action to offer a quiet space to live. The garden in particular has been a haven for us – a great place to have people round in the summer and also a peaceful space to enjoy throughout the year. We’ve loved working on this. We’ve got a home office that looks onto the garden just now, although the flexibility of the rooms in this flat means at times we have accommodated flatmates, guests and long term visitors too. It works really well – you can flex it just the way you want it.
