The sellers Thoughts -
"We've loved living at Duckett Road, it's been such a great home for the last four years. We've retained all the original character (the coving in the lounge is amazing) and added some more living space, a bedroom and an ensuite wet room and retained the charm throughout. We love the light and airy living room with it's original stained glass windows and having such a big space for us to cook and hang out and eat in the kitchen. We've got plenty of use out of the garden too and we get sunshine for the hours of the day that really matter. Being metres away from the New River means we can hear the ducks and wildlife which is pretty rare in London! It's also been great to have our own entrance which makes the flat feel even more like our own private space.
Green Lanes is lively and has great restaurants and bars, plus the Turkish food is as good as it gets (we love the lamb at Devran and the meze at Hala). We're also into our coffee and brunch so having Beans & Barley, Music & Beans and the amazing Moka on our doorstep has been brilliant. It's also been fun watching great new places open like Bun & Bar and Harringay Local Store with great food and upmarket produce. Fruit and veg from the Turkish groceries and amazing meats and cheeses from the Albanian/Italian shop at the bottom of the road have kept our trips to Sainsbury's to a minimum! There's definitely a fun local community spirit and people actually talk to each other and make friends. Since starting a family we've almost not needed to leave the local area - coffee shops all run fun kids activities plus we have the Library at Harringay station, the pool at North Harringay Primary and Finsbury Park minutes away.
Duckett Road is really well located for Harringay Station on the National Rail, Harringay Green Lanes on the Overground and Manor House/Wood Green on the Piccadilly Line."
