Urchfont is one of Wiltshire's premier villages, having an excellent community run shop, post office and pub. There is a thriving community within the village which organises lots of local events, including the famous Scarecrow Hunt in May. There are plenty of good walks around locally in Oakfrith Woods and up on to Salisbury Plain which is easily accessible from the village. The local school, Urchfont Primary, has an excellent reputation and for secondary options there is Dauntseys and Lavington Schools within a 10 minute drive.
