An enchanting split level, penthouse maisonette apartment with an open vaulted ceiling and mezzanine gallery, occupying the entire top floor of this imposing period building of significant character.

Located on the corner of the High Street and the cobbled lane of Warwick Road, within the prime centre of Tunbridge Wells village and a few minutes’ walk to the main line train station.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a fully renovated period property finished to high standard througout and includes a secure video entry system.

You enter the property through the main doorway from the pedestrianised Warwick Road into a beautifully finished hallway. Climb the stairs to the flat door, then a further flight takes you up to the sumptuous living space.

At the top of the stairs, the hallway offers generous built-in storage, and the washing machine and boiler are tucked away here too.

The kitchen has a range of wall and base cupboards and is finished with a wooden worktop. The integrated appliances include a large fridge/freezer, a slimline dishwasher, electric oven with extractor and a gas hob.

The lounge/dining room has a high vaulted ceiling with exposed character beams. The room has been stylishly furnished with lots of seating. The deep settee is also a sofabed, with gold effect side tables and a cocktail chair and love-seat. Yet there is still plenty of space for a dining table and drinks cabinet beside the original cast iron fire place. The wide window provides lots of natural light and looks out across the roof tops of the buildings on the High Street.

Above one quarter of the lounge/dining room is the mezzanine level. This creates an ideal area for storage or extra guest bedroom space. It is easily accessed by a step ladder.

Across the hall to the rear of the apartment is the bedroom. The room is furnished with a super-king bed which can also be used as 2 single beds and there is a large built-in wardrobe. The ceiling above the bed reaches up into the eaves, creating the feeling of space and light. The window opens out to Warwick Road and looks up the delightful cobbled street to the village at the top.

The bathroom is off the hall and is fitted with high quality furniture, painted wood panelling and wooden flooring finished with a heated towel rail.

Warwick Road is just off the High Street, only a couple of minutes’ walk from The Pantiles, the common and the mainline station. If you are not familiar with this area, The Pantiles is the famous and elegant Georgian parade just off the common, which is easily accessed from the mainline train station. It’s famous for its Jazz nights and live music, boutique shops and selection of popular restaurants, bars and cafes. The Forum, Tunbridge Wells’ famous independent live music venue, is a short walk away.

The High Street and Tunbridge Wells mainline station are less than half a mile away and Royal Victoria Place shopping centre is 0.8 miles and offers a wider range of well-known high street stores and restaurants.

Tunbridge Wells station is 0.4 miles, offering frequent services into London in under 1 hour via London Bridge and Waterloo East, into Cannon Street and Charing Cross, and south to the coast at Hastings.

By road, Tunbridge Wells is easily accessed from the A21, linking the M25 at Junction 5 to the north, and south to Hastings, Eastbourne and Brighton.
