Winkworth race day at Cowes Classics Week 2014

We arepleased to announce we will be sponsoring a race day and the tea and cake event at Charles Stanley Cowes Classics Week, taking place 21-25 July 2014. A world renowned regatta, Charles Stanley Cowes Classics Week, hosted by the Royal London Yacht Club, attracts around 600 competitors and 150 boats over the five days of racing. The Winkworth race day will take place on Wednesday 23rd July in conjunction with the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. The day will consist of up to three races, and the winners will receive prizes. The results will contribute to the overall week’s winner. In addition to this, wewill be providing the tea and cakes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, which for many is one of the highlights of the regatta and is much anticipated by the competitors. As the Royal London Yacht Club website comments, “We find that competitors ask the race officers to conclude racing for the day to ensure there is sufficient time for a slice of cake or two.” The tea and cake event is attended by over 250 people every day. We will also provide the refreshments for the prize giving tea on the Friday, which is the conclusion of the event. Dominic Agace, CEO of Winkworth, comments: “We are excited to be a part of Charles Stanley Cowes Classics Week and especially to be sponsoring a race day and these beautiful boats. We wish every participant the best of luck throughout the week and hope everyone enjoys this great event.”   Picture taken from the Winkworth Country Life special
