Winkworth launches two new offices in Devon

Winkworth, one of the largest estate agencies in London, today announces further expansion of its country offering with the opening of two new offices in Dartmouth and Torbay, Devon.

This press release was originally posted in September 2017.

The offices, both previously trading as Richard Blake and jointly owned by Richard Blake and Trevor Branton, continue to be fully owned and operated by both directors following eight years of success under their former trading name. With almost 50 years combined experience in the industry, Richard and Trevor will now expand on their already well-established reputation and knowledge of their local areas, combined with the strong presence and backing that comes with being part of the Winkworth network.

Commenting on joining Winkworth, Richard says: "We're thrilled to join the Winkworth network and feel confident that this nationally recognised brand teamed with our established local reputation will be a winning combination for our business' future. This is an excellent step for us, where we can benefit from the comprehensive services that Winkworth can provide us whilst retaining our fundamental values, staff and reputation. We look forward to a successful future as part of Winkworth, and to developing our own business to its full potential within the local area."

The Winkworth Dartmouth and Torbay offices will retain their current teams, both offering residential sales to homemovers within the Dartmouth and Torbay areas. The teams will also now benefit from Winkworth's full back office support services including marketing, PR, recruitment, IT and its established country house department which markets prime properties to individuals in the capital, providing a link to the London buyer.

Dominic Agace, CEO at Winkworth, says: "We warmly welcome Richard, Trevor and their teams to Winkworth and thoroughly look forward to working closely with them in the future. These new offices are perfectly placed to fit with our ongoing expansion in terms of location and target market, and we expect to announce further office openings as the year progresses. This is a positive year for Winkworth Franchising and we look forward to what is yet to come in 2017."

The Dartmouth and Torbay area enjoys a very buoyant property market, with a vibrant mix of house hunters including full time residents, holiday home owners and the local sailing community. The Torbay area is currently undergoing significant investment with many quality new shops and restaurants opening and, with preparations now under way for the Mayflower 400 celebrations, the local economy is benefitting from heightened tourism and regular visits from large cruise ships. Having experienced a very busy summer, the Dartmouth and Brixham offices expect the market to continue at a pace throughout the rest of 2017.
