Summer Training Programme

The Winkworth Training Academy has opened its doors to the public for the first time to offer a Summer Training Programme to young people interested in a career in the property industry. Over the course of four days, the students will learn how to become successful negotiators, learning essential sales and letting skills, as well as essential law, social media and securing offers, to name just some of the elements covered in the programme. Lead by Winkworth’s in-house trainer, Emma Hogan, the participants will receive training akin to new employees to Winkworth, meaning that they will have the essential skills needed to enter the workplace and the foundations to build a successful career. And in a highly competitive sector, this can make all the difference when securing a role at a leading agency, ensuring your CV stands out from other candidates. To join the programme, the participants don’t need to have any previous experience in estate agency, all the Training Academy are looking for are people with a passion for property, the desire and drive to be successful and the ability to engage with people from all walks of life. Emma Hogan, Head of the Winkworth Training Academy, comments: “This is the first year the Winkworth Academy is running the programme and we hope that it is a success in offering the participants the opportunity to experience the property industry and to lead them on the path to being passionate, skilled and confident negotiators of the future. We have also been able to offer two free places to candidates that have shown a particularly strong interest in joining the programme, which is an excellent opportunity for those who may otherwise have been unable to attend. We are hoping to grow the programme in the next few years to offer more places, including additional free spots, over a number of different weeks and are excited to see the results and how it develops.” The Summer Training Programme will be offering two starting dates this year: Week starting 12 August 2013 Week starting 2 September 2013 Most trainers offer similar courses for £500 per day, but here at the Winkworth Training Academy, we are able to offer the four day intensive programme for just £800 + VAT for the whole four day programme including lunch. Once the participants have passed the training successfully (this will involve an exam at the end of day four), they will receive The Winkworth Summer Estate Agency Training certificate 2013. The certificate will list everything that has been covered on the programme and will stand them in great stead when applying for Agency.
