Nice, Cote d'Azur: a new dimension

Nice, more than any other destination on the Riviera, has been through a series of major urban developments that have considerably improved the townscape and changed the way both visitors and residents use the town. Indeed, the centre of attraction seems to be progressively slipping away from Place Massena, along the new 1 km long gardens, ‘la coulee verte’, towards the recently renovated Place Garibaldi. This square has been converted to a pleasant pedestrian zone with restaurants and cafés. The pedestrian area is now being developed towards the nearby Port which has also gone through a major restructuration making it a great waterfront area with plenty of social activity. Building work has now commenced to bring the new tramway to the Port and the historic waterfront in front of the old town, a few minutes walk from the Port is also preparing a larger pedestrian promenade to reduce traffic and accommodate the new tram as it makes its way towards the airport. Quite the opposite of losing its identity, Nice is thriving on these urban schemes, proud of the international prestige the new cityscape is offering. If you are thinking of moving to this area, Winkworth International have a modern three bedroom penthouse in Nice for sale, which has phenomenal 360 degree views over the city. And as well as a large terrace, perfect for entertaining and bbqs, there is also a swimming pool and jacuzzi. For more details visit http://www.winkworth-international.com/en/property/france-hin548
