Winkworth offices in St John’s Wood, Highgate, Finchley and Golders Green have got together to sponsor Hampstead Rugby Club’s 1st XV kit, and pitch branding in the form of post protectors and line flags.

Hampstead RFC chairman Sam Taylor said: “As costs everywhere seem to be escalating we are trying to keep players fees down and have looked to sponsorship from local companies.  Winkworth were first on board and we are extremely grateful.”

The new kit was seen for the first time at last week Saturday’s London 2 North West match in Hemel Hempstead.

Hampstead Rugby Club is one of the oldest clubs in the world, although it has only been active in its current form for just over 40 years. Originally the Hampstead Heathens Sports Club was founded in 1863 and was the birthplace for other notable clubs, such as Harlequins, Wasps & Rosslyn Park.
