The thinnest house in Britain?

Now sold for a second time by Winkworth Shepherds Bush, the much loved converted Victorian hat shop fondly referred to as “the skinny house”.

Michael Connaughton, Deputy Sales Manager at Winkworth Shepherd’s Bush: ‘This enchanting and totally original property (the width of a bath tub) is a pleasure to show applicants, as the viewings are always such fun and the house gets a great response.

Buyers for this property have historically been the ‘cool crowd’ venturing down from Notting Hill and Holland Park and appreciating the quirky and one of kind image this property offers.

One applicant upon viewing commented that they loved the house but they just weren’t cool enough to buy it!’

The two bedroom house on Goldhawk Road has been described as one of the skinniest houses in Britain – the entire house measures just 5ft 6ins wide.  The property has five levels – a lower ground, ground, first, second and third floor, with 1,000sq ft of space.
